Kudos Sustainability in our Backyard

To everyone who participated in our first Sustainability in Our Backyard Event on May 7th, give yourselves a huge pat on the back!
Thanks to your efforts, we kept 7,540 pounds of possibly toxic electronic waste out of our landfills.
In addition, 25 different contributors educated us on topics ranging from water conservation to renewable energy to recycling to biofuels to financing our solar projects to the economic vitality of the Verde River.
Furthermore, between 300 to 500 folks ate a bite thanks to local food donations and the preparation and serving support from town staff, the police department and our local fire district. Special thanks to Town staff and our Solar Ambassadors - most volunteered on over 27 tasks to make this a reality.
